What Is the Run Performance Lab?

The Run Performance Lab has been an MCRRC member benefit for over 2 years. It is composed of a volunteer staff of running coaches, podiatrists, physical therapists, and shoe experts. On occasion a massage therapist joins our staff. When you arrive for your appointment, the staff will use your phone to record you as you run on a treadmill. You’ll spend about 10 minutes with each expert and can ask them questions about your training and any aches/pains you are experiencing. You’ll take home the experts’ screening surveys and a technical running shirt. Whether you’re a new or experienced runner, the Run Performance Lab can help you improve your fitness, minimize injury, or take your running to the next level. It is available to athletes ages 18 and over.

Registration

You must be a MCRRC member to make an appointment for the Run Performance Lab. If you are not yet a member, you will have the opportunity to join MCRRC during your Run Performance Lab registration. Registration requires a non-refundable payment of $32. This price includes the registration plus processing fee.

Your Appointment

Prior to your appointment, you will receive an email containing instructions about the clinic and an evaluation form that you will fill out before you arrive. Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment. You should plan to spend at least 45 minutes there. Please bring your phone with you to your appointment! It will be used to video record you running (or walking).

Refund Policy

There are no refunds, but you may transfer to a different clinic if space is available and if you contact us at least five days before your scheduled clinic. There are no transfers allowed within five days of a clinic, for any reason. To request a reschedule, please contact staff@mcrrc.org.

If you are ill on the day of your clinic, please stay home and rest, and please let us know at staff@mcrrc.org. We are sorry that we cannot provide a refund, but it helps us to know that you won’t make it in. If you are well enough to come to the clinic but not feeling 100%, please wear a mask. Our staff can give you a mask if you don’t have your own.

You must be a current MCRRC member in order to register for this program. Please note that membership is NOT included in your program registration. If you are not sure whether you are a member, please contact staff@mcrrc.org for assistance. If you are not a member, please click here to join MCRRC!

Communication Methods
We will communicate through a private, online group. Everyone will be required to join this group to participate in the program.

Disclaimer
The program director reserves the right to refuse any individual admission to the program and to dismiss any individual from the program who is unable to meet the demands of the training schedule or disruptive to other program participants, in the program director’s opinion. The program director also reserves the right to limit the number of participants in the overall program or in individual pace groups. Program registration fees are nonrefundable.
