CPR Classes

MCRRC is pleased to offer access to monthly CPR/ First Aid certification courses through Lifeworks, sponsored by Shady Grove Adventist HealthCare, for members and member’s immediate family members. The class is sufficient for new certifications as well as re-certifications. ** New for 2024 ** The price of the class is now $65, which must be paid upon registration by the participant. The $65 fee is reimbursable for all active MCRRC Program Coaches and Race Directors – please see below.

For December 2023 ONLY: During registration, use discount code MCRRC75 to bring the fee down to $50. ALL CLASSES START AT 8 AM AND SHOULD END BY 1 PM.  Please note that, depending on the makeup of the participants, the class may go longer at the instructor’s discretion. Please plan accordingly.



Changes or cancellations will be handled by Adventist directly, not by MCRRC.  Please do not contact MCRRC if you can no longer attend your class.  Refunds are available through Adventist. They require at least 24 hours’ notice for changes or cancellations. Contact Adventist at LifeSupport@adventisthealthcare.com to make a request.



The $65 fee is reimbursable for all active MCRRC Program Coaches and Race Directors upon submission of a reimbursement form & receipt.  The class is available to, but not reimburseable, to members who are not coaches or race directors. A reimbursement form can be downloaded here.



There will be a half hour break for lunch. Please bring a bagged lunch.  Refreshments will NOT be provided, so please be sure to pack anything you will need for the day.

Please Note

A CURRENT MCRRC MEMBERSHIP is REQUIRED to participate in this program. Please note that membership is NOT included in your program registration. PRIOR TO JOINING this program, you must become a member. If you are unsure if you have a CURRENT MCRRC Membership, please contact office@mcrrc.org for assistance. Communication Methods
We will use a private, online group to facilitate communications. Everyone will be required to join this group to participate in the program. Instructions on how to join this group will be provided by the Program Director.

The program director reserves the right in his sole discretion to refuse admission to the program or dismiss any individual from the program whom the program director believes is unsuited for running the specified distance or is unable to meet the demands of the training schedule, or is disruptive to other program participants. Those individuals will be denied entry into the program or dismissed from the program as appropriate. The program director also reserves the right to limit the number of participants in the overall program or in individual pace groups. MCRRC has a No Refund policy. Program registration fees cannot be refunded due to injury, schedule conflict or any other reason.
