Ashley Zuraf
Ashley joined MCRRC in 2003 to train with the First Time Marathon Program. While no longer a runner, she has held several key positions in the club over the years as Race Director of the Memorial 4 Miler, pace coach in both Speed Development and the First Time Marathon Program, and several team captain roles. She is a former Member At-Large of the MCRRC Board of Directors and has served in her role as Executive Director since early 2013. Outside of the club, she is a passionate volunteer and advocate, especially as it pertains to children and animals. She has served as Volunteer Bookkeeper for All Shepherd Rescue for 16 years, is a Team Mom/ Administrator for the Silver Spring Saints Youth Football Organization, and recently completed four years on the Wilson Wims Elementary PTA Board, including 2 years as President. She continues to manage the PTA’s annual Fun Run, as well as running a mean concession stand at several other events. Ashley’s favorite role is being a mom to her two beloved boys, cheering them on in football, basketball, wrestling, and soccer, rarely missing a game, tournament, or meet. In her free time, which clearly isn’t much, she enjoys speed walking, a good Netfix series, any & all types of crafts, and spending time with her extremely handsome German Shepherd sidekick, Mo, the former Official Spokesdog of the Parks Half Marathon. Ashley loves the community and the wide, open spaces of upper Montgomery County, where she resides with her family.
