Seneca Creek State Park 11950 Clopper Road, Gaithersburg, MD*ALERT* We regret to inform you that due to the inclement weather & potentially unsafe travel conditions predicted for tomorrow morning, we have been asked to cancel the event. The policy of the State Park, whose land most of our race traverses, is to close the park trails in such weather. We understand the disappointment this news brings to you and we feel the same way -- our volunteers and staff have been working for months to plan a fantastic race. RACE OVERVIEW: The City of Gaithersburg, in partnership with the Montgomery County Road Runners Club, invites all runners and walkers to participate in a 5K Run/Walk in the magical setting of Gaithersburg’s Winter Lights Festival at Seneca Creek State Park. Winter Lights features more than 380 illuminated vignettes and 65 animated displays. Runners and walkers will utilize the roads through the Park during the race.
