Midsummer Night’s Mile 2024

RACE OVERVIEW:
Dust off those spikes for the Midsummer Night’s Mile! It is a track mile, run in heats, and part of our Championship Series (CS) as well as Youth Series (TS) – see below.
The anticipated heats are:
- Runners with expected times greater than 8:45.
- Runners with expected times greater than 7:50 up to 8:45.
- Runners with expected times greater than 7:00 up to 7:50.
- Runners with expected times greater than 6:15 up to 7:00.
- Runners with expected times greater than 5:45 up to 6:15.
- Runners with expected times greater than 5:20 up to 5:45.
- Runners with expected times greater than 4:50 up to 5:20.
- Runners with expected times of 4:50 or less.
REGISTRATION:
MCRRC Members –
This race is part of our low-key race series and is FREE for MCRRC members. Race registration is not required for members; however, members must signup for a 2024 bib & chip. Your bib & chip will then be waiting for you at the race (or any other low-key race of 2024). If you have a 2023 (or older) chip, please bring it with you to exchange for your 2024 bib & chip. If you are a new member, or no longer have an older chip, please remember to bring a $5 chip deposit with you. If you already signed up for a personalized 2024 bib, you do NOT need to register online – your bib will be waiting for you at any low-key race of the year.
Non-MCRRC Members –
Registration is to non-MCRRC members at a cost of $15 for participants ages 18 & over and $10 for participants under 18. Online registration will remain open until the start of the race. Late registrants may register online before leaving the house or from your smartphone at the race site. Please remember to bring your credit card or cash with you if you plan to register on race morning. Non-members can register here.
Bib and chip pickup will take place on race morning near the start area. A volunteer will be on hand to assist you.
YOUNG RUNS:
There will be no timing chips used for those participating in the Youth Series. Participants of the Youth Series may seed themselves in the appropriate heat for their ability to participate in the mile. The runs are FREE, but all participants must be registered by a parent or guardian prior to race day (members and non-members). Register here. ***IMPORTANT NOTE: Parents or Guardians DO NOT need to register for the young runs to accompany your child. You are welcome to jump right in with them, if needed!
VOLUNTEER:
MCRRC is a volunteer organization and our events are fully staffed by the hard work of our volunteers. Without them, our races wouldn’t be possible. Volunteers are needed for this event. Please sign up here to volunteer!
REFUNDS:
If you are a non-MCRRC member, and can no longer attend the race, please contact office@mcrrc.org so that we can move your registration to another MCRRC low-key event and open up a spot for someone else. Monetary refunds will not be provided.
