Purpose: To recognize one female and one male MCRRC member who have excelled in performances as well as contributions to the trail community.
Selection Criteria:
Award winners will be selected by a MUTROY committee based on the following criteria:
- Times and finishing places in mountain, ultra, and/or trail races. The committee may consider contextual factors such as the difficulty of the course, and race weather conditions as well as evaluating finishing times and places. MCRRC XC series race may be considered, but will be given less weight than longer trail races.
- Volunteering, trail work, and ambassadorship of the trail community.
Award recipients must be MCRRC members and must have been members for the majority of the calendar year for which the award is given. MUTROY Committee Members may not vote for themselves, nor for nominees with whom they have family, coaching, co-worker, teacher/student, etc. relationships.
Nomination Process:
Nominations may be made by MUTROY Committee Members as well as club members at large. Self-nominations are also welcome.
To nominate yourself or another club member, please provide as much detail as possible about the following:
- Nominee’s race performance in calendar year 2024 (distance, elevation, time, race conditions, etc).
- Nominee’s volunteering, trail work, and ambassadorship of the trail running community.
Nomination should be emailed to mutroy@mcrrc.org by January 10.
Winners and finalists will be announced at the club’s award banquet.
