Call for Nominations: MCRRC Board of Directors

The Montgomery County Road Runners Club (MCRRC) is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated members to join our leadership team! We are now accepting nominations for the following open board positions:

  1. Secretary
  2. Treasurer
  3. Three (3) At-Large Board Members

Note: Two of the At-Large Members will serve full two-year terms, and one At-Large Member will be a one-year term to fulfill the remainder of another At-Large Member who is leaving prior to the end of their term.

Serving on the MCRRC Board is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of our club, support our running community, and help shape the future of our programs and initiatives.

Position Descriptions

  • Secretary
    • Record the minutes of the meetings and keep a file of such minutes.
    • When requested by the President, accept assignments involving correspondence and keeping of records.
  • Treasurer
    • Administer all MCRRC finances.
    • Maintain a current status of accounts.
    • Disburse funds as directed.
    • Prepare an annual financial report and annual budget for presentation at the Annual Budget Meeting.
  • At-Large Board Members
    • Represent the interests of the membership.
    • Provide input and expertise on key decisions affecting the club.
    • Participate in committees, special projects, and event planning as needed.

  • Have leadership, organizational, or community-building experience.
  • Are eager to make a meaningful impact within our vibrant running community.

How to Nominate

To nominate yourself or another member:

  1. Submit a brief nomination statement including:
    • The nominee’s name and contact information.
    • The position for which they are being nominated.
    • A short explanation of why the nominee is a good fit for the role.
  2. Email your nomination by January 30, 2026.
