DESCRIPTION:RACE OVERVIEW: \nThe City of Rockville\, in partnership with MCRRC\, welcomes all to participate in this fall running tradition. The 10K and 5K are on the streets of the King Farm community for a scenic and rewarding\, course. It is an ideal venue to cap off your summer/fall training and kick off the upcoming winter running season. Participants of all abilities are welcome. \nThis race is a fundraiser for the City of Rockville Recreation Fund\, which provides financial assistance to those who may have difficulty participating in the City’s recreational programs. SUMMARY:Stone Mill 50 Mile 2026 ($)
DESCRIPTION:RACE OVERVIEW: \nThis 50 mile trail run showcases the beauty of both the Seneca Greenway and Muddy Branch trails in Montgomery County\, Maryland. The course traverses forested\, rolling terrain on a primarily single track\, dirt trail.  There are small stream crossings.  Most of the course drains well\, but parts can be muddy in wet weather. \nThis race is an RRCA National Championship Event.   The RRCA Championship Event Series is the largest grassroots-organized running series in the U.S. with over 200 races participating that attract nearly 300\,000 participants.  The goal of the RRCA Championship Event Series is to celebrate and shine a spotlight on well-run\, community-focused events and to award top performing runners in the open\, masters (40+)\, grand masters (50+)\, and senior grand masters (60+) categories for both men and women. \nFor more information\, to register\, or volunteer\, please visit the race website.

DESCRIPTION:RACE OVERVIEW: \nThe City of Gaithersburg\, in partnership with the Montgomery County Road Runners Club\, invites all runners and walkers to participate in a 5K Run/Walk in the magical setting of Gaithersburg’s Winter Lights Festival at Seneca Creek State Park. Winter Lights features more than 380 illuminated vignettes and 65 animated displays. Runners and walkers will utilize the roads through the Park during the race. DESCRIPTION:RACE OVERVIEW: \nStart the holiday season by challenging yourself to some gently rolling hills in scenic Seneca Creek State Park as you run one loop for the 5-mile race\, or a second loop for twice the fun. The park deer occasionally make a cameo appearance and they don’t brake for runners! All participants need to be in the park by 7:50 AM. \n \n  \nSCHEDULE OF EVENTS: \n8:o0 AM – 5 Mile Race \n8:00 AM – 10 Mile Race \n8:05 AM – 2.78-km Young Run (YS)  \n  \nTHE COURSE: \nThe course takes place on paved roads over rolling hills\, across a dam\, and through the woods. Both the 5 and 10 mile courses start and finish in the same location. \n5 Mile Race – Course Map \n10-mile Race – Course Map \n  \nPARKING: \nThe park has limited parking. Please make every attempt to carpool and arrive early. Per Seneca Creek State Park Management’s request\, the gate at the ranger’s booth (where you would pay the entry fee during warmer months) will be closed at 7:50 AM sharp. You must arrive before then in order to park in the grassy field near the Start/Finish area. If you arrive at 7:50 AM or later\, you will have to park in the admin office parking lot and walk or run half a mile to the start. Don’t delay or you will have to climb one extra hill! \n  \nREGISTRATION: \n\nMCRRC Members – \n\nThis race is part of our low-key race series and is FREE for MCRRC members.  Race registration is not required for members; however\, members must first signup for a 2026 bib & chip. Your bib & chip will be waiting for you at any 2026 low-key race.  If you have a 2025 (or older) chip\, please bring it with you to exchange for your 2026 bib & chip.  If you are a new member\, or no longer have an older chip\, please remember to bring a $5 chip deposit with you.  If you already signed up for a personalized 2026 bib\, please do not sign up again – your personalized 2026 low-key bib & chip will be waiting for you at any 2026 low-key race. \n\nNon-MCRRC Members – \nRegistration is open to non-MCRRC members at a cost of $22 (participants ages 18 & over) and $11.60 (participants under 18). This price includes the registration + processing fee.
