SUMMARY:Country Road Run 5K 2026
DESCRIPTION:RACE OVERVIEW: \nThe 5K race will be held at Calleva Farm in Dickerson. The course offers views of horses\, hayfields and a big\, red barn – you can’t get more country than that in Montgomery County! And breaking a long-standing MCRRC tradition\, the race features a downhill finish. The location is in the far west end of the county\, so please be sure to map it and allow extra travel time to get there. \n  \nLOCATION INFORMATION: \nThe address is 19120 Martinsburg Road in Dickerson\, MD. Parking will be available in a designated portion of the hay field (please follow the directions of the volunteers). The 10K and 5K are on the streets of the King Farm community for a scenic and rewarding\, course. SUMMARY:Stone Mill 50 Mile 2026 ($)
DESCRIPTION:RACE OVERVIEW: \nThis 50 mile trail run showcases the beauty of both the Seneca Greenway and Muddy Branch trails in Montgomery County\, Maryland. The course traverses forested\, rolling terrain on a primarily single track\, dirt trail.  There are small stream crossings.  Most of the course drains well\, but parts can be muddy in wet weather. \nThis race is an RRCA National Championship Event.   The RRCA Championship Event Series is the largest grassroots-organized running series in the U.S. with over 200 races participating that attract nearly 300\,000 participants.  The goal of the RRCA Championship Event Series is to celebrate and shine a spotlight on well-run\, community-focused events and to award top performing runners in the open\, masters (40+)\, grand masters (50+)\, and senior grand masters (60+) categories for both men and women. \nFor more information\, to register\, or volunteer\, please visit the race website.

DESCRIPTION:RACE OVERVIEW: \nStart the holiday season by challenging yourself to some gently rolling hills in scenic Seneca Creek State Park as you run one loop for the 5-mile race\, or a second loop for twice the fun. The park deer occasionally make a cameo appearance and they don’t brake for runners! All participants need to be in the park by 7:50 AM. \n \n  \nSCHEDULE OF EVENTS: \n8:o0 AM – 5 Mile Race \n8:00 AM – 10 Mile Race \n8:05 AM – 2.78-km Young Run (YS)  \n  \nTHE COURSE: \nThe course takes place on paved roads over rolling hills\, across a dam\, and through the woods. Both the 5 and 10 mile courses start and finish in the same location. \n5 Mile Race – Course Map \n10-mile Race – Course Map \n  \nPARKING: \nThe park has limited parking. Please make every attempt to carpool and arrive early. Per Seneca Creek State Park Management’s request\, the gate at the ranger’s booth (where you would pay the entry fee during warmer months) will be closed at 7:50 AM sharp. You must arrive before then in order to park in the grassy field near the Start/Finish area. If you arrive at 7:50 AM or later\, you will have to park in the admin office parking lot and walk or run half a mile to the start. Don’t delay or you will have to climb one extra hill! \n  \nREGISTRATION: \n\nMCRRC Members – \n\nThis race is part of our low-key race series and is FREE for MCRRC members.  Race registration is not required for members; however\, members must first signup for a 2026 bib & chip. Your bib & chip will be waiting for you at any 2026 low-key race.  If you have a 2025 (or older) chip\, please bring it with you to exchange for your 2026 bib & chip.  If you are a new member\, or no longer have an older chip\, please remember to bring a $5 chip deposit with you.  If you already signed up for a personalized 2026 bib\, please do not sign up again – your personalized 2026 low-key bib & chip will be waiting for you at any 2026 low-key race. \n\nNon-MCRRC Members – \nRegistration is open to non-MCRRC members at a cost of $22 (participants ages 18 & over) and $11.60 (participants under 18). This price includes the registration + processing fee. You may pay less in processing fees per participant if you add more registrations to your cart. Online registration will remain open through the start of the race\, so you can register online before leaving the house or from your smartphone at the race site.  Registering online before arriving to the race site is strongly encouraged. Bib and chip pickup will take place on race morning near the start area.  Volunteers will be available to assist you. Non-members can register here. \n\n\n  \n\nYOUNG RUN:  \nThere will be no timing chips used for the youth series runs. The young run will begin at 8:05 AM and is 2.78K.  The young run is free\, but all participants must be registered by a parent or guardian prior to race day (members and non-members). Youth Run registration can be found here.  Parents or Guardians do not need to register for the young runs to accompany your child.  You are welcome to jump right in with them\, if needed! \n\n  \n\nVOLUNTEER: \nMCRRC is a volunteer organization and our events are fully staffed by the hard work of our volunteers.  Without them\, our races wouldn’t be possible.
