SUMMARY:Memorial Day 4-Miler 2026
DESCRIPTION:RACE OVERVIEW: \nKick off the holiday with MCRRC with our annual Memorial Day 4-Miler on Monday\, May 25. It’s a nice\, shady 4-mile race through Rock Creek Park – but don’t get too comfortable. An uphill finish awaits you at the end! \n  \nSCHEDULE OF EVENTS: \n7:45 AM – Circle of Remembrance (Please wear blue to honor the fallen)\n7:55 AM – Singing of the National Anthem\n8:00 AM – 4-Mile Race Start\n8:05 AM – 1-Mile Young Run Start (more info below) \n  \nCOURSE MAP: \nA course map can be viewed here. \n  \nREGISTRATION: \n\nMCRRC Members –  \nThis race is part of our low-key race series and is FREE for MCRRC members.  Race registration is not required for members; however\, members must first signup for a 2026 bib & chip. Your bib & chip will be waiting for you at any 2026 low-key race.  If you have a 2025 (or older) chip\, please bring it with you to exchange for your 2026 bib & chip.  If you are a new member\, or no longer have an older chip\, please remember to bring a $5 chip deposit with you.  If you already signed up for a personalized 2026 bib\, please do not sign up again – your personalized 2026 low-key bib & chip will be waiting for you at any 2026 low-key race. \n\n\nNon-MCRRC Members –  \nRegistration is open to non-MCRRC members at a cost of $22 (participants ages 18 & over) and $11.60 (participants under 18). This price includes the registration + processing fee. You may pay less in processing fees per participant if you add more registrations to your cart. Online registration will remain open through the start of the race\, so you can register online before leaving the house or from your smartphone at the race site.  Registering online before arriving to the race site is strongly encouraged.  Non-members can register here. Bib and chip pickup will take place on race morning near the start area.  Volunteers will be available to assist you. \n  \nYOUTH RUNS: \nThere will be no timing chips used for the youth series runs. The young run will begin at 8:05 AM and is 1 mile.  The young run is free\, but all participants must be registered by a parent or guardian prior to race day (members and non-members). Youth Run registration can be found here.  Parents or Guardians do not need to register for the young runs to accompany your child.  You are welcome to jump right in with them\, if needed! \n  \nVOLUNTEER! \nMCRRC is a volunteer organization and our events are fully staffed by the hard work of our volunteers. Without them\, our races wouldn’t be possible. If you’re not running at this event\, please sign up here to volunteer! \n  \nREFUNDS: \nIf you are a non-MCRRC member\, and can no longer attend the race\, please contact office@mcrrc.org so that we can transfer your registration to another MCRRC low-key race.  Monetary refunds will not be provided.

DESCRIPTION:JobJog is the newest weekly club drop-in run/walk opportunity. Everyone is welcome—if you are in a career transition\, come out\, get some exercise\, and do some informal networking. Each session will start with 10-15 minutes of informal networking where people can say what they are looking for\, followed by 30-35 minutes of running or walking\, and then wrapping up with some good coffee and company and more networking at Coffee Republic. SUMMARY:Kentlands/Lakelands Run
DESCRIPTION:Time: 7:00 PM every Monday \nPlace: Lakelands Park Pavilion\, 1368 Main Street\, Gaithersburg \nContact: Paul Hasson (runphrun@gmail.com) and Lisa Levin (levinreichmann@gmail.com) \nOverview: \nCome join a revival of the Monday night Lakelands/Kentlands group run. This is a new run to the MCRRC weekly offering and the only Monday drop-in group run. We run a 3- or 5-mile route through the Lakelands and Kentlands neighborhoods that includes much of the Kentlands/Lakelands 5K route. Currently\, the majority of the group sticks to a 10:00-10:30/mi pace. If you plan to run slower or faster\, please make sure to be familiar with the route maps (below) as we run in the dark during the winter months and want to make sure everyone makes it safely back to the starting point. As the group grows\, we hope to have more pace groups represented. \nThe group will meet under the Pavilion. Plenty of parking is available in the parking lot\, Main Street\, and neighborhood side streets.
