All paces are welcome. Our recommended route is a 3.5 mile loop that starts and ends at the brewery and goes around the outside of the NIH complex. It is well lit and has minimal road crossings so you can focus on your run. Afterwards\, stick around for a drink. SUMMARY:Silver Spring Run
DESCRIPTION:Time: 7:00pm every Wednesday \nPlace: Acorn Park\, 8075 Newell Street\, Silver Spring \nContact: Nancy Oswald (nmoswald@yahoo.com) \nOverview: \nJoin us for a social\, low-key\, and non-competitive environment for participants of all paces. Maps for 3 and 5 mile routes will be offered at the start of the run each week. Most of the runs traverse the neighborhoods around Silver Spring\, Takoma Park\, Takoma\, Brightwood\, and Rock Creek Park. Municipal parking is available one block away\, on Kennett Street. \n\nThe group has a communication forum using a Google Group and a Facebook Page (Silver Spring Run Club). Anyone can join.  The communication forum will be used in the event of workout cancellations\, location or time changes\, so it’s highly recommended that all interested parties join the forum.

Workouts will generally be the same as those posted by Denis McDonald for the long-running and highly successful Wednesday track sessions at Montgomery College.  Participants may do the suggested workout or one of their own. After the workout\, we will meet at Four Corners Pub for a meal and/or beverage and lively conversation.
