An event every week that begins at 8:00am on Saturday, repeating indefinitely

- May 1 – October 15 — Start time 7:30 am
- October 16 – April 30 — Start time 8:00 am
Contact person: David Schrock (email@example.com)
Directions to starting point: Parking lot 300 yards past Meadowbrook Stables. From 495, take Connecticut Ave south; turn left at East-West Highway. Turn right at Meadowbrook Lane (one light to the east of Beach Drive). Continue on Meadowbrook Lane, past the stables, following a sharp right turn then a sharp left turn, to the parking area.
Description: Discover another side of Rock Creek Park and join us for informal runs along the some of the best dirt trails in the area. Adapting to trail running is easier than you may think. If you are new, let the organizer know and he/she will partner you with an experienced trail runner. The rewards of trail running make it well worth the effort, so give one of these runs a try.
This run is open to anyone, but please be able to run five miles, with hills, at a modest pace. Three standard loops are available 5-mile, 8-mile, and 11-mile. We have a “no drop” policy, so don’t worry about getting lost.
Finding the starting point can seem a little tricky. “Meadowbrook Stables” is a well known landmark nearby, but the group gathers about 300 yards past the stables, where Meadowbrook Lane ends at a parking lot. Immediately upon entering the parking lot, look for runners gathering on your left behind the backstop for a baseball diamond.
