Cross Country Series 2011

The Cross Country Series offers opportunity for off-road racing. Scoring is similar to the Age-Group Championship series. In addition to the Age-Group scoring, this series also has an overall competition. Be sure to check out the rules for details on scoring.

Rules

The Cross Country Championship Series will consist of eight races. Your best four races will count. You must run a minimum of four races in the series to qualify.
You must be an MCRRC member on the day of the race to earn Cross Country Championship points for that race. Non-members are not counted in determining series points.
Your age group for the year will be determined by your age on January first of each year.
In each race points will be awarded to the top ten places overall and to the top ten within age groups. The first-place runner will receive ten points, the second-place runner will receive nine points, and so on down to the tenth-place runner who will receive one point. Points will be accumulated for your best four races at the end of the year.
At the end of the year open and age group prizes will be awarded as shown in the table below.

In case of a tie, the winner will be determined by the time difference in head-to-head competition.
