How to Enter
You have lots of ways to enter the race. Each of these methods can be used to enter either the 8k race or the 1k Fun Run.
Online Registration
For the easiest and quickest sign-up, register online by July 18th. This service enables you to complete your entry and payment with a credit card quickly, accurately, and securely. Note that this service is provided through SignMeUp.com, so you will be taken to their website for the registration process. You cannot do team registration through this online service. Mail-In Registration
Mail-in entries must be received by Thursday July
17th. Do not mail an entry that may not be received in
time. If there is any doubt, either register on-line
or at Metro Run & Walk on Saturday afternoon before 4
PM. Mail-in entries will not be confirmed. Click

Walk-In
Walk-in registration will be available at the following locations and times:
- Packet Pickup - Sat. Noon - 4pm - Metro Run & Walk, Federal Plaza, 1776 East Jefferson St., Rockville
- On-Site - Saturday 6 - 8pm -Rockville Town Center, Rockville, in front of 110 N. Washington St.
Walk-up Saturday Night
For those of you who don't get registered via any of the other options, you may enter at the race site on Saturday night -- if we have not reached our registration limit. (If we do, we will announce it on the this website. Otherwise, you may assume that registration is still open.)
Race-site registration (otherwise known as "really, really late" registration) begins at 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the race site in Rockville. The entry fee at that time is (we warned you) $35 . The earlier you get there, the easier it will be -- on you and on us.
Team Registration
All members of a team must register individually for the race -- at the prevailing entry fee. In addition, the team captain must complete a team registration form, which must list each runner who is a member of the team. There is a $10 fee for registering a team ($20 if you wait until race day or if you want to make changes on race day).
Team captains can register a team and pay the team fee online. Alternatively, you may use the Printable Team Registration Form on this web site. Note: You may submit a team registration form before you know who all will be on the team. Then you can call the team coordinator, and provide him with your team members' names.>
Please note that these team registration procedures do not apply to the MD-RRCA Championship Series competition, which is independent of Twilighter team competition. If you indicate a Maryland RRCA club on your race entry, you are automatically included in your club's team MD-RRCA Championship Series.
Checking Your Entry
Mail-in entries will not be confirmed. Beginning in July, on-line entries will be shown on the Registered Runners List. If you registered before the "as of" date shown on the Registered Runners list and you cannot find your name in the list, please let us know by sending email to twilighter@mcrrc.org.
Runner Instructions
Your race packet (including your runner number bib) will include your Runner Instructions. Please take the time to read these instructions carefully; they include important information that you should understand before you run.
Important: Since you may not have time on race night, we have included the complete Runner Instructions here on the website. We encourage you to go to the Runner Instructions and familiarize yourself completely with the important information there.
Registration Transfer
There are no refunds of the registration fee if you do not run the race. However, you may transfer your registration to another runner, if you follow the correct procedure. If you wish to transfer your registration, please contact twilighter@mcrrc.org. Be sure to have all the registration information (name, address, phone, email, etc.) for the transferee. If you do not follow this procedure, you will show up in the results, nor will the transferee, and this could otherwise mess up the results. We will disqualify the runner, who will also be ineligible for any awards. Thanks for your cooperation.
